Marelli to Showcase Propulsion and Thermal Innovations at Auto China 2026

Marelli has announced that it will showcase a range of propulsion and thermal management innovations at Auto China 2026, scheduled to be held from April 24 to May 3 in Beijing.

A key highlight at the company’s booth will be the new e-Transmission Cooling Pump, designed to deliver precise, on-demand oil cooling for modern transmission systems. The solution improves efficiency and enables a reduction in energy consumption, offering a claimed 30W saving compared to current benchmarks.

Built on a modular architecture, the system is optimised for e-axles and dedicated hybrid transmissions, while also supporting multiple applications through its flexible design and integrated electronics.

Marelli will also present its Flex Fuel system, aimed at supporting sustainable internal combustion solutions. Designed for 3- and 4-cylinder engines, the system enables the use of ethanol and biofuels, with automatic fuel detection to optimise efficiency and emissions. Integrated heating solutions further ensure reliable performance in cold-start conditions.

In the thermal management space, Marelli will showcase a suite of solutions focused on improving efficiency and reducing system weight. These include a high-performance chiller for enhanced battery cooling, an eAxle oil cooler designed for improved heat exchange, and a full aluminium radiator for electric powertrains. These systems are engineered to optimise thermal performance, reduce energy consumption and support extended driving range in electrified vehicles.

All three thermal solutions feature mono-material aluminium construction to support recyclability, while their compact and lightweight designs contribute to improved overall vehicle efficiency.

The technologies have been developed through Marelli’s distributed development model, combining global coordination with local engineering and manufacturing capabilities. This approach enables faster innovation cycles and supports customised solutions for different markets.
