Maruti Suzuki has crossed a new milestone with sales of the Brezza subcompact SUV crossing the 15 lakh mark. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza started life as the Vitara Brezza in July 2026, and was an instant success with the masses. The second generation only built on that momentum, and continues to be a strong seller in the segment. Moreover, Maruti shared that the recently launched Brezza facelift has garnered over one lakh bookings since its launch. 56 per cent of buyers consider the Brezza even before beginning their purchase journey, the automaker said.

The Brezza was the first-ever SUV to be developed by Maruti Suzuki. It arrived as a diesel-only offering with the famed 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine. The high torque nature coupled with impressive fuel efficiency made it an instant success, taking on erstwhile rivals such as the Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300. The 1.5-litre K-Series petrol replaced the diesel and has been equally lapped up by customers. The recently updated Brezza arrived with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which the company says is off to a good start, especially with the Brezza CNG that gets an under-body kit, liberating more boot capacity.

The current Maruti Suzuki Brezza is available with two engine options - 1.0-litre turbo, and 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and petrol-CNG. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic. Prices for the Brezza start from ₹7.50 lakh, going up to ₹13.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The Brezza takes on a host of offerings including the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and Škoda Kylaq.
