Maruti Suzuki India has launched the CNG version of its newest product, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, at Rs. 8.41 lakh and Rs. 9.27 lakh (both prices ex-showroom, India). Available in Sigma and Delta trims, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG is the 15th CNG product in the company’s line-up and is based on the base Sigma and Delta trims of the Fronx. Both variants of the Fronx CNG are available at a premium of Rs. 95,000 over their petrol siblings.

Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said “The Fronx S-CNG, with its new-age appeal and dynamic road presence, is aimed at customers who are not only trailblazers at heart but also environmentally conscious.”
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG is powered by a 1.2L K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine that develops 76 bhp @6000 rpm and 98.5 Nm @4300 rpm in CNG mode. The Fronx claims to deliver fuel efficiency of 28.51 km/kg, with a fuel tank consisting of 37L of petrol and 55L of CNG. In its petrol form, the Fronx develops 88 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque, while the 1.0L turbo version of the car develops 99 bhp and 148 Nm of peak torque.
In terms of visual enhancements, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG remains identical to the petrol trims it is based upon. However, the boot space is reduced to accommodate the CNG kit. On the inside, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx CNG features a dual-tone black and brown theme, with fabric seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel, electrically adjustable ORVMs, 60:40 split seats, power windows for all, and automatic climate control.
In terms of features, the Fronx CNG comes with a 7-inch touchscreen on the Delta trim only along with wireless capability for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 4 speakers, and voice commands along with dual airbags, Reverse Parking Sensors, 3-point seat belts for all, ISOFIX, ESC, and Hill Hold Assist.
