Maruti Suzuki Fronx Gets Velocity Edition Package

The Fronx has been a popular model for Maruti Suzuki and after recently clocking 1 lakh sales, the subcompact SUV now gets a Velocity Edition package for the Turbo variants. This special edition only gets cosmetic upgrades and the package costs ₹43,000. 

With the Velocity Edition, the Fronx gets kits like a grey and black exterior styling kit, door visors, ORVM covers, headlamp trims, bumper trims, wheel arch garnish, body side moulding, illuminated door sill guard and a spoiler extender. Inside, Maruti Suzuki has given the Fronx Velocity Edition a new 3D mat with red accents, new seat covers and a carbon fibre-finish styling kit. 

The only difference between the Velocity Edition package for the Delta+ and the package for Zeta and Alpha trims is the colour of the seat covers. The former gets the black seat covers, while the latter gets Bordeaux red-coloured seat covers. 

Mechanically, nothing has changed with the Fronx’s turbo variants. It continues with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 99 bhp and 148 Nm of torque. It can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The other engine available with the Fronx is the 89 bhp, 113 Nm, 1.2-litre petrol engine that is paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The prices for the Fronx range between ₹7.52 lakh and ₹12.88 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
