The Nexa Studio outlets are smaller showrooms in size compared to conventional Nexa outlets, and act as an all-in-one touchpoint for sales, spares, and service.
Maruti Suzuki inaugurated its 200th Nexa Studio outlet, increasing its presence in the semi-urban and rural areas. The 200th outlet is located in Kharkhoda, Haryana, close to the automaker’s manufacturing facility, and the automaker says its aiming for 600 such showrooms by FY2031. The 200 Nexa Studios join the 740+ Nexa showrooms spread across 530 cities across the country.
Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “NEXA stands for innovation, design, and premium ownership experience. The rapid expansion of NEXA Studios demonstrates our commitment to make this experience accessible to our aspirational customers in semi-urban areas. There is a growing segment of customers in these areas who are desirous of a premium car buying experience. To cater to their needs, we are happy to expand our NEXA footprint to such locations. We are thankful to our dealer partners and customers for their trust and enthusiasm that continue to drive Nexa’s growth story. With their support, we aim to take the total number of Nexa Studio outlets to 600, by the end of FY 2030-31.”

The Nexa Studio was launched in 2024 as an opportunity to reach out to Tier III cities across the country. These are smaller showrooms in size compared to conventional Nexa outlets, and act as an all-in-one touchpoint for sales, spares, and service. Maruti says while the Nexa Studio outlets are smaller in footprint, they offer the same premium experience as the bigger dealerships. Moreover, the smaller size ensures lower investment costs for dealers. The Nexa showrooms retails Maruti’s premium range comprising the Ignis, Baleno, Fronx, Jimny, XL6, Grand Vitara, and Invicto.

The expansion of Nexa Studios also comes at the right time with Maruti entering the electric mobility space. The new e Vitara will also be sold exclusively via Nexa showrooms, and the automaker is confident that the Nexa Studios will help the EV reach Tier II and III markets. Maruti says that rural markets now contribute about 10 per cent to overall EV sales in the Indian passenger vehicle market. The auto giant further said that about 95 per cent of its dealerships are now equipped with a charging point, and will be able to support fast charging.

The e Vitara is priced from ₹10.99 lakh + ₹3.99 per km battery rental, courtesy of the new BaaS rental pricing. Meanwhile, fixed battery prices start at ₹15.99 lakh (ex-showroom) on electric SUVs, as per the price list obtained by Acko Drive.
