The Invicto and Innova Hycross scored 5 stars in adult safety and child safety tests.
The Toyota Innova Hycross and its badge-engineered sibling, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto, have both been crash-tested under India’s updated safety assessment protocol. The results show that both MPVs are among the safest in their segment, with almost identical scores across categories.

The Toyota Innova Hycross was the first to be tested, recording 30.47 out of 32 points for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 45 out of 49 points for Child Occupant Protection (COP). The MPV performed strongly in both the frontal offset crash and side impact tests, registering 14.47/16 and 16/16, respectively.

Shortly after, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto – supplied by Toyota and sold only with a strong-hybrid powertrain – was tested. The Invicto achieved 30.43 out of 32 in AOP and 45 out of 49 in COP, nearly mirroring the Hycross. Its frontal offset score stood at 14.43/16, just 0.04 points lower than the Hycross, while it too achieved a perfect 16/16 in side impact protection.
