The Maruti Suzuki Jimny has already received 30,000 bookings
Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the Jimny SUV in India. We will get the 5-door version of the car and the company is all set to launch the car in June this year. We first saw the car at the 2023 Auto Expo and we now move closer to the launch of the car. Back then the company had given out details of the car but the fuel efficiency figures were not out yet. The Jimny will be made available with a 1.5-litre petrol engine making 103 bhp and 134 Nm of torque.
The manual transmission variant of the Jimny returns a fuel efficiency of 16.94 kmpl while the automatic variant of the car provides 16.34 kmpl. The company has also revealed the variants that will be offered on the Jimny. The Jimny SUV will be offered in Zeta and Alpha variants, with Zeta being the base variant.
The AllGrip Pro all-wheel drive system is standard on the SUV and the car comes with 15-inch wheels as well. The ground clearance of the Jimny stands at 210 mm. The Jimny is a subcompact SUV as its overall length is 3985 mm, but there is good enough space between the wheels as well because there’s 2950 mm of wheelbase on offer.
