Maruti Suzuki cuts car prices up to ₹1,29,600 from September 22, 2025, post-GST revision.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has announced a significant price reduction for its passenger vehicles, effective from September 22, 2025, following a recent GST rate cut.
The company will pass the full benefit of the revised GST regulations to customers, aligning with its commitment to stimulate the Indian passenger vehicle market.
To boost demand, Maruti has lowered ex-showroom prices across its entry-level car range. The S-Presso sees the highest cut of up to ₹1,29,600, bringing its starting price to ₹3,49,900.
Other notable reductions include the Alto K10 (up to ₹1,07,600, now ₹3,69,900), Celerio (up to ₹94,100, now ₹4,69,900), and Wagon-R (up to ₹79,600, now ₹4,98,900).
Premium models like the Jimny and Invicto also benefit, with price drops of up to ₹51,900 (now ₹12,31,500) and ₹61,700 (now ₹24,97,400) respectively.
This move is expected to invigorate the Indian auto sector, particularly in the entry-level segment, where affordability plays a key role. The reductions, ranging from ₹46,400 to ₹1,29,600 depending on the model, aim to make vehicles more accessible amid economic fluctuations.
MSIL’s decision reflects a broader industry trend of leveraging tax benefits to enhance competitiveness.
The price cuts could spur sales, especially for popular models like the Brezza and Grand Vitara, which saw reductions of up to ₹1,12,700 and ₹1,07,000 respectively.
