The Victoris is the latest entrant in the highly competitive compact SUV segment.
Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the Victoris in India on September 15. The new compact SUV aims to take on segment leaders like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki’s own Grand Vitara. While the company has not revealed official prices yet, expect the Victoris to be launched in the ₹13 - 20 lakh (ex-showroom) range.

The Victoris stands out with a bold exterior design highlighted by connected LED tail lamps, aero-cut alloy wheels and sharp LED DRLs. Inside, the SUV boasts dual-tone premium interiors, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and 64-colour ambient lighting. The 10.1-inch infotainment system comes with Dolby Atmos surround sound with Infinity speakers and Alexa integration.
| Models | Prices (ex-showroom, India) |
|---|---|
| Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara | ₹11.42 - 20.68 lakh |
| Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder | ₹11.34 - 20.19 lakh |
| Hyundai Creta | ₹11.11 - 20.92 lakh |
| Kia Seltos | ₹11.19 - 20.56 lakh |
| Volkswagen Taigun | ₹11.39 - 19.15 lakh |
| Skoda Kushaq | ₹10.61 - 18.43 lakh |
| MG Astor | ₹10 - 15.70 lakh |
| Tata Harrier | ₹15 - 26.69 lakh |
| Mahindra XUV700 | ₹14.49 - 25.14 lakh |
On the safety front, the Victoris is equipped with six airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, and front parking sensors. Higher variants will also feature Level 2 ADAS, offering functions like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking. The Victoris has also achieved a 5-star rating from BNCAP.

The Victoris will be offered with four powertrain choices:
With fuel efficiency figures going up to 28.65 kmpl for the Strong Hybrid and 27.02 km/kg for the CNG, the Victoris is expected to attract a wide range of buyers.

Given its mix of technology, hybrid efficiency, and premium features, the Victoris could likely be priced slightly higher than the Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Expect Maruti Suzuki to price the Victoris from around ₹13 lakh and go up to ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
