This should help ease the buyer’s minds when it comes electric motorcycles.
Gujarat-based electric motorcycle manufacturer Matter Energy just made its debut electric bike, the Aera 5000 a more reliable option by offering it with a one-of-a-kind “Lifetime Battery Warranty” program. While we are yet to confirm if existing customers can avail this new program, new customers can avail the same as standard.
The Aera 5000 is a one-of-its-kind electric motorcycle in India that comes with a 4-speed gearbox. Its 5 kWh battery is liquid-cooled which can do a claimed range of 125 km on a single charge. It was this innovative thinking that impressed our TOTM jury to bestow it the title of the EV Bike Of The Year 2025.
As for the new warranty program, it will cover both the battery and the battery management system. This is a very clever move from the company as for all EV customers, replacing a faulty battery or a depleted battery costs the most. So by ensuring the same, Matter will offer riders greater affordability and dependability. This new program will ensure Matter’s growing consumer base enjoys a solid reputation of being reliable as well, which is not the case for some of its all-electric brethren.
“Our riders shouldn’t have to worry about what powers their bike. This Lifetime Battery Warranty is our way of saying: we’ve got your back,” said Mohal Lalbhai, Founder & CEO, Matter. “It’s a bold step, but it’s built on bold innovation. We want more people to embrace electric, and this is our commitment to making that journey worry-free,” he concluded.
