Mercedes-Benz India is preparing to unveil a new ‘Collector’s Edition’ of the AMG G 63 SUV, with the official launch set for June 12. The special edition is being pitched as a tribute to India’s rich tapestry and diverse landscapes, marking a unique regional customisation effort by the German luxury carmaker.

Developed jointly by Mercedes-Benz India and Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), the new edition is expected to be a limited-run model. The edition will likely offer cosmetic enhancements and commemorative design elements rather than additional performance or feature upgrades. Teasers released ahead of the launch depict the AMG G 63 in a distinctive orange exterior shade paired with silver alloy wheels. While no interior images have been shared yet, the company is expected to reveal more details at the official unveiling tomorrow.
Mechanically, the Collector’s Edition is expected to remain identical to the standard AMG G 63. That includes the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which produces 577 bhp and 850 Nm of torque, mated to a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a full-time all-wheel-drive system. This powertrain setup enables the performance SUV to deliver both high-speed capability and serious off-road potential—traits for which the G-Class has become iconic globally.
The standard Mercedes-AMG G 63 is currently priced at ₹3.64 crore (ex-showroom, India). Given the bespoke nature of the Collector’s Edition and its limited availability, a notable premium is anticipated.
