The GLS AMG Line gets a new body kit, some new interior bits and the AMG Night package.
Mercedes-Benz India has launched the new variants of the GLS-Class. The new variants are the GLS 450 AMG Line and GLS 450d AMG Line, and they are priced at ₹1.40 crore and ₹1.43 crore (ex-showroom India), respectively. With the AMG Line, the GLS gets a new body kit, some new interior bits and the AMG Night Package.
The GLS 450 AMG Line is ₹3 lakh more expensive than the standard GLS 450, while the GLS 450d AMG Line is ₹1 lakh dearer than the regular GLS 450d. Take a look at the prices in the table below.

So with the AMG Line, the GLS gets a new bumper with bigger air intakes, body coloured wheel arches and side sills, and new 21-inch alloy wheels. They also get larger brakes, and the callipers have Mercedes-Benz lettering.
Inside, the GLS gets a three-spoke AMG steering wheel with a flat bottom. The pedals also get an aluminium finish, and the floor mats also get the AMG branding. Standard features on the GLS include two 12.3-inch screens – one for the infotainment and one for the virtual cluster. It also gets wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, two rear seat entertainment screens, four-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof and more. Safety features include nine airbags, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system and ADAS.
The AMG Line also gets the AMG Night Package, which gives it blacked-out ORVMs, roof rails and window line as well as AMG-specific alloys. While the slats in the grille have a dark chrome finish, the interior elements get a gloss black finish.
Powering the GLS 450 AMG Line is a 3.0-litre turbocharged, inline six petrol engine churning out 375 bhp and 500 Nm, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The GLS 450d AMG Line gets a 3.0-litre inline six diesel engine which produces 362 bhp and 750 Nm, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Both variants can do 0-100 kmph in 6.1 seconds and have a top speed of 250 kmph (claimed).
Rivals for the Mercedes-Benz GLS include the BMW X7 (₹1.31 - 1.35 crore), Volvo XC90 (₹1.04 crore) and Audi Q7 (₹90.48 - 99.81 lakh).
