Mercedes-Benz is set to kick off the year with a luxurious SUV tailored for the Indian audience.
Mercedes-Benz India has confirmed the launch of the GLS facelift on January 8. As the flagship SUV, the GLS will undergo updates in both design and features.

The exterior modifications include a larger front grille with four horizontal louvres finished in silver. The headlamps will feature a revised LED pattern, and the front bumper will be with new air inlets and gloss black surrounds. The SUV will roll on new 20-inch wheels in grey.

The GLS will be offered as a seven-seater with interior themes in Catalana Brown and Bahia Brown. The infotainment system will be updated to the latest version of MBUX, offering three display modes – Classic, Sporty, and Discreet. An added 'off-road' mode will use the 360-degree camera for visual representation, and the SUV will feature a transparent bonnet for off-road assistance.

Currently equipped with a 3.0-litre diesel engine and a 9-speed automatic gearbox, the powertrain is expected to continue in the updated model. There are speculations about the introduction of a petrol engine variant.
