The sedan and SUV range continued to account for the largest share of the automaker's deliveries.
Mercedes-Benz India recorded its highest-ever quarterly retail sales in July-September 2026, delivering 5,422 vehicles, the luxury automaker announced on Monday. The strong quarter also helped the carmaker post record sales of 15,190 units for the January-September period. Quarterly sales grew 5.9 per cent year-on-year, while nine-month volumes increased 7.5 per cent. The company said growth was supported by its core models, top-end luxury portfolio and electric vehicles.
Sales during the third quarter were also 17 per cent higher than in Q2 2026. Mercedes-Benz attributed part of the improvement to festive demand and its Dream Days campaign, which included financing offers.

Mercedes-Benz's Core Luxury segment contributed around 60 per cent of its January-September deliveries. The C-Class, long-wheelbase E-Class, GLC and GLE were the key models in this segment. The company said the long-wheelbase E-Class continued to be India's highest-selling luxury car. However, it did not disclose individual model volumes, making it difficult to quantify the contribution of each model.
The sedan and SUV range continued to account for the largest share of the company's deliveries, even as flagship and electric models recorded stronger growth.
Mercedes-Benz's Top-End Luxury segment grew 13 per cent year-on-year during the first nine months of 2026 and accounted for more than a quarter of overall sales. The company highlighted demand for models such as the S-Class, Mercedes-Maybach range and AMG G 63. It also reported customer interest in the V-Class for intercity travel and airport journeys.
Personalisation remained an important part of the segment, with Mercedes-Benz stating that its MANUFAKTUR programme accounted for around 75 per cent of Top-End Luxury sales.
The Mercedes-AMG portfolio grew 18 per cent during the period. The AMG G 63 also recorded its highest-ever monthly sales, although Mercedes-Benz did not disclose the month or the number of units sold.
Mercedes-Benz's battery-electric vehicle portfolio recorded 16 per cent growth between January and September 2026, ahead of the company's overall sales growth. The new CLA BEV received more than 1,000 confirmed orders, with deliveries extending until March 2027, according to the company. The order figure represents the booking pipeline and is separate from completed retail sales.
At the premium end of its electric range, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV registered 68 per cent year-on-year growth. The company also reported continued interest in the EQS SUV and G 580.
Mercedes-Benz did not disclose the absolute volume of EV sales or their share of total deliveries. As a result, the reported growth figures indicate the pace of expansion but do not establish the overall size of the company's electric vehicle business.
The Entry Luxury segment, comprising the GLA and CLA BEV in the company's release, grew 4 per cent year-on-year and accounted for around 15 per cent of total sales.
The segment's growth was below the company's overall sales increase as well as the growth recorded by its Top-End Luxury portfolio. The segment shares provided by Mercedes-Benz are approximate and therefore do not represent an exact reconciliation of the company's total sales.
