The training centers will be located at Manav Rachna University in Delhi-NCR and MIT ADT University in Pune.

Mercedes-Benz India has partnered with the National Skill Development Corporation to train 1,000 young people in automotive skills over the next year. The 12-month program, running from March 2025 to March 2026, will operate through two new skill development centres in Pune and Delhi-NCR. The training will focus on electric vehicle servicing, quality control, product testing, and Industry 4.0 technologies. The training centres will be located at Manav Rachna University in Delhi-NCR and MIT ADT University in Pune. Kedman Skilling Private Limited will serve as the training partner. Thirty per cent of the slots are reserved for women candidates.

"We are creating aspirational pathways for young, promising talents from economically challenged backgrounds to participate meaningfully in India's rapidly evolving automotive landscape," said Emrah Oezer, Executive Director and CFO of Mercedes-Benz India.

Speaking at the MoU signing, Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary said the initiative aligns with the government's goal to employ 45 million people in the mobility sector, including 9 million in the EV ecosystem. "This is how we make skilling aspirational — by fostering lifelong learning, breaking silos, and building a future-ready India," he said.

The program will include entrepreneurship training, mock interviews, workplace visits, and job placement support. All training will be delivered through the Skill India Digital Hub platform and assessed according to National Skill Qualification Framework standards.

Mercedes-Benz said it may expand the program if the pilot phase meets quality and impact targets.
