Much like the S-Class facelift, which debuted in the country earlier this year, the new Maybach S-Class gets bolder styling, a more opulent cabin, and advanced tech upgrades.

Mercedes-Benz has launched the facelifted Maybach S-Class in India, bringing the top-of-the-line version of its flagship sedan. The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class facelift is priced at ₹3.35 crore (ex-showroom), and gets several styling and feature enhancements. Much like the S-Class facelift, which debuted in the country earlier this year, the new Maybach S-Class gets bolder styling, a more opulent cabin, and advanced tech upgrades.

The visual changes are subtle but noticeable. The Maybach S-Class facelift gets a 20 per cent bigger grille, like the standard S-Class, which comes with the signature Maybach vertical slats. The bezel is illuminated too, and so is the three-pointed star on the bonnet. The new headlamps feature the three-pointed star-themed LED DRLs, and so do the taillights. The bumper has been reworked, and gets the Maybach motif as a visual differentiator.

The profile has been revised with the Maybach S-Class facelift get an even longer wheelbase over the S-Class facelift. The rear door is visibly larger, while you continue to get the Maybach logo on the C-pillar. Internationally, you have the choice of 20-inch or 21-inch alloy wheels on the S-Class facelift.

Inside, the cabin now sports the giant Mercedes-Benz Superscreen display, which includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 14.4-inch central touchscreen and 12.3-inch passenger display. Much like the S-Class, a lot of the traditional surfaces have gone away, in favour of the big screen. The rear seat experience remains most opulent with the seats offering multi-way adjustability including reclining, heating, ventilation, and massage functions.

The India-spec Mercedes-Maybach S-Class facelift arrives with the updated 4.0-litre V8 engine that produces 537 bhp and 750 Nm of peak torque. Internationally, there’s the S 580e as well with the 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol paired with an electric motor and a 22 kWh battery pack. The PHEV Maybach S-Class packs 585 bhp and 750 Nm of peak torque. Lastly, the V12 motor powers the S 680 Maybach, and will be the range-topping variant of the limousine.

The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class facelift arrives as a super exclusive choice for the elite, and competes against the Bentley Flying Spur and Rolls-Royce Ghost.
