The price hike is not applicable to all the variants of the Comet.
MG Motor India has hiked the prices of the Comet and ZS EV by up to ₹22,000. However, the price hike is not applicable to all variants as the entry-level Executive and Excite variants do not see any change in prices.
The price of the Exclusive variant of the Comet EV has seen the biggest jump, i.e. ₹22,000. It is now priced at ₹9 lakh. The Excite FC variant is now dearer by ₹15,000 and is now priced at ₹8.49 lakh. The Exclusive FC and Exclusive FC ‘100-Year’ Edition see a uniform price hike of ₹13,000. These two top-spec variants are now priced at ₹9.37 lakh and ₹9.53 lakh, respectively. (All prices ex-showroom, India)

The Comet is MG Motor India’s smallest model as well as EV. It gets a 17.3 kWh battery with a claimed range of 230 km. Recently, the Comet got a 7.4 kW AC fast charging capability which allows it to charge 0-100 per cent in 3.5 hours, half the time it takes with the 3.3 kW AC charger. Along with the new charger, the Comet also received new safety features like an electronic parking brake, rear disc brakes, electronic stability control (ESC) and hill-hold assist. Furthermore, it also has new features like power-foldable ORVMs, DRLs integrated into the front fenders and body-coloured ORVMs.
