Despite being a niche model, the MG Cyberster has attracted considerable interest in India, thanks to its striking appeal and the strong value proposition it provides to buyers.
JSW MG Motor India has announced that its flagship electric roadster, the MG Cyberster, has crossed 350 units in sales since its launch in July 2025. The demand has led to a waiting period of four to five months for new customers booking through the company’s premium retail channel, MG Select.
According to Milind Shah, Head of MG Select, the Cyberster’s popularity among sportscar enthusiasts is driven by its distinctive design and advanced features, such as electric scissor doors and rapid acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. He noted that the vehicle’s success reflects a growing preference among Indian buyers for high-performance sports cars that blend sustainable luxury with innovative engineering.
Shah also highlighted that the Cyberster has attracted a diverse clientele, including sports personalities and celebrities, and that MG Select is focused on delivering a premium ownership experience that goes beyond the car itself.
Priced at ₹74.99 lakh, the MG Cyberster is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing over 500 bhp and 725 Nm of torque. The roadster features a soft-top roof, Brembo 4-piston front brake calipers capable of stopping the car from 100 km/h in just 33 meters, sharp daytime running lights, a Kammback rear with active aerodynamic elements, and 20-inch staggered alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli P-Zero tyres. The design draws inspiration from the classic MGB Roadster.
JSW MG Motor India has also established itself as the second largest brand in the Indian luxury electric vehicle market. The company has expanded its retail presence with 14 MG Select Experience Centres nationwide, where customers can view its premium models.
MG currently has a wide range of vehicles on sale in India, including the Hector, ZS EV, Gloster, Astor, Comet, Cyberster, M9, and Windsor.
