The Windsor is the second Wuling model that will be rebadged as an MG model in India.
JSW MG Motor India is readying the launch of its latest electric on September 11 in the country. The MG Windsor EV, sold as the Wuling Cloud in the international markets, will be the third EV from the SAIC-owned carmaker after the MG ZS EV and the MG Comet in India and will rival the likes of the Tata Nexon.ev, Mahindra XUV400, and even the lower variants of the upcoming Tata Curvv.ev. Expected to be launched at a starting price of ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the new MG Windsor EV will feature several design elements sourced from its Indonesian sibling while introducing India-specific features, one of which is the new 15.6-inch centre display which the company just teased.

Last week, the company showcased a large panoramic sunroof on the Windsor EV, akin to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 along with the ability to recline the rear seats by 135 degree for added comfort. Additionally, the MG Windsor EV will also sit on a superior ground clearance of over 200 mm, making it better than the likes of the Hyundai Creta (190 mm), Kia Seltos (190 mm), Citroën Basalt (180 mm) and even the MG ZS EV (177 mm). While other dimensions of the Windsor remain under wraps, it can be expected to measure 4295 mm, 1850 mm and 1652 mm in length, width and height, respectively and has a wheelbase of 2700 mm.
The Windsor is the second Wuling model that will be rebadged as an MG model in India. The first was the MG Comet which was a rebadged version of the Wuling Air EV. The Wuling Cloud EV has a 50.6 kWh battery pack that gives it a claimed range of more than 450 km. It also gets DC fast charging support that allows it to charge from 30 - 80 per cent in around 30 minutes. With the AC charger, it can charge from 20 - 100 per cent in seven hours. The Wuling Cloud EV gets a front axle-mounted electric motor with 134 bhp and 200 Nm, paired with a single-speed transmission.
