The Brabus 930 is based on the Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance and produces 917 bhp!
If you think the 791 bhp isn’t enough in the Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance, Brabus has a fix for you. The German tuner has dialled up the AMG S Class to 11, with the Brabus 930 now producing a staggering 917 bhp!
Along with a power bump of 126 bhp, Brabus has also upped the torque. Where the standard S 63 E Performance produces 1,430 Nm, the 930 produces 1,510 Nm, 80 Nm more than the AMG model. However, Brabus hasn’t fiddled with the electric motor in the 930, and only with the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine.
This increase in power has helped Brabus reduce 0.1 seconds in the 0-100 kmph sprint. The AMG model manages this run in 3.3 seconds, while the Brabus does it in 3.2 seconds. Mercedes-AMG has limited the top speed of the S 63 E Performance to 250 kmph, with an option to increase it to 290 kmph. Brabus, on the other hand, has only limited the top speed of the 930 to 290 kmph.
Cosmetically, the 930 gets the usual Brabus treatment. It gets loads of carbon fibre everywhere. In the grille, Brabus has removed the outer two vertical slats on each end and given it big carbon fibre elements. Furthermore, while the design of the front bumper hasn’t changed much, it gets a bigger carbon fibre diffuser. Even the air intakes in the front bumper are finished in carbon fibre and have a thin strip of LED lights, not present on the AMG.
In profile, Brabus hasn’t changed much of the AMG S Class, except for giving the 930 a set of 22-inch, centre-lock, monoblock alloy wheels. At the back, Brabus has added a carbon fibre lip spoiler and a rear diffuser. While the AMG gets square exhaust tips, the Brabus gets round ones.
The AMG S Class has a well-appointed, luxurious interior that is draped in leather. The seats get a ‘Seashell Diamond’ pattern in the Brabus. The 930 gets a choice of two interior themes – all Black and Sky Blue.
