Bounce Infinity has launched a new entry-level battery-swappable variant of its popular Infinity E1 models called E1X. Priced from ₹55,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) onwards, it is almost half the price of its flagship counterparts, thus making it the most affordable electric two-wheeler in the Indian market to be available with swappable battery technology.
Launched in two variants with different top speeds. , the entry-level E1X can do 55 kmph of top speed, while the top-spec model is good for 65 kmph. Bounce Infinity has always bet big on swappable battery technology, right from the start. The convenience that comes with these battery types, has been extremely beneficial. So much so that the brand earlier this year revealed its first of its kind of liquid-cooled swappable battery, that is compatible with the it’s flagship Bounce Infinity E1. We have asked if this new entry-level E1X is compatible with its liquid-cooled battery, and are awaiting answers for the same.
The top-spec E1X is priced at ₹59,999 (Ex-showroom) and deliveries for both will commence from June onwards. Speaking on the occasion of this launch, Vivekananda Hallekare, CEO and Co-founder of Bounce Infinity, stated, “India is the world’s second-largest two-wheeler market, however, true benefits of EV haven’t been leveraged yet. EVs can allow a lot of innovation including making vehicles very affordable. One such benefit comes from separating the battery from the vehicle and asking the user to pay the upfront cost of the scooter only. E1X is designed to seamlessly plug into any battery swapping networks with minimal modifications.”
