This new iteration will get the 6-axis IMU electronic suite from the 390 Adventure S.
KTM is preparing to upgrade the 390 Adventure X with more features and capability. This upgraded iteration will be called the 390 Adventure X+ and sources have confirmed to us that it will launch in July. It will be more of an upgrade of the existing 390 Adventure X, with several KTM dealers already stopped from taking orders for the current bike.
The new KTM 390 Adventure X+ will get the brand’s 6-axis IMU from the standard 390 Adventure. This will enable features like switchable cornering ABS, cornering traction control, and cruise control. Additionally, it will also get you three ride modes — Street, Rain, and Off-road.

Besides the above additions, its hardware list will be identical to the 390 Adventure X with the same 19-/17-inch alloy wheel configuration, with no adjustable suspension. However, the existing suspension tune on the current 390 Adventure X was already well-balanced for long distance touring and the occasional off-roading. It is unlikely that KTM will upgrade the brake pads to sintered units from the standard 390 Adventure, sticking to organic ones still. This is a bit disappointing, though, and KTM should reconsider this area.
Due to these additions, the new 390 Adventure X+ is anticipated to cost approximately ₹15,000-₹20,000 more than the current 390 Adventure X, which is priced at ₹2.92 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This pricing strategy will provide better value to customers who wanted an enhanced feature-rich KTM 390 Adventure without paying the full premium for the standard variant. More so, the pricing gap between the new X+ version and the standard will be far more digestible now. Sources have also confirmed to us that the new 390 Adventure X+ will launch in the first week of July, which is next week. So stay tuned to this space for all the latest updates.
