The new Mahindra XUV 7XO has an average waiting period of four weeks on the AX5 mid and AX7 top variants, while demand for the entry AX trim stands at 12 months.
Mahindra opened order books for the new XUV 7XO earlier this month, and the automaker has announced the three-row SUV is already commanding a waiting period of up to 52 weeks. The Mahindra XUV700 was a blockbuster for the automaker right from inception, and its new mid-life facelift, the XUV 7X) seems to be commanding similar demand.

The base XUV 7XO is priced from ₹13.66 lakh (ex-showroom), and brings a value-friendly package for buyers. Notably, the automaker discontinued the five-seater MX trim with the arrival of the facelift.

Up next, the XUV 7XO AX3 and AX5 trims have a waiting period of five months each, while the AX7 T and the AX7 Petrol will be handed over to customers in about four weeks. The AX7 Diesel can be had in about six weeks. Lastly, the XUV 7XO AX7 L has a waiting period of nearly six months for the diesel, and nearly four months for the petrol.
The company previously announced the XUV 7XO and the new XEV 9S had collectively garnered 93,689 bookings on the first day when bookings began on January 14, 2026. The company has not shared a model-wise breakup of booking numbers. The bookings amount to a value of ₹20,500 crore, the automaker revealed. Deliveries for both models have commenced across the country.

The new Mahindra XUV 7XO arrives as a comprehensive update to the XUV700. Not only does it get a new name, but also revamped styling, more features, and the new more suspension. The feature list comprises three-screen layout, six-way electrically adjustable front seats, ventilation in the first two rows, ambient lighting, wireless charging, Boss mode, a panoramic sunroof, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, dual-zone climate control, and more. On the safety front, the SUV packs seven airbags, Level 2 ADAS, a 540-degree camera, ESC, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, ISOFIX anchorages, TPMS, front and rear sensors, and a whole lot more. Powertrain options on the XUV 7XO come from the 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol tuned for 200 bhp and 280 Nm, while the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel churns out 182 bhp and 450 Nm of peak torque (420 Nm on MT). Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and torque converter with both engine options, which send power to the front wheels. The diesel version also gets All-Wheel Drive (AWD) on the top AX7 trims.
