Skoda Auto has officially teased the all-new Elroq, its upcoming electric SUV, which will make its global debut on October 1 in Prague. Positioned as a compact, fully electric SUV, the Elroq is a crucial piece in Skoda’s expanding electric vehicle (EV) lineup. Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform, the Elroq is expected to blend Skoda's traditional practicality with cutting-edge EV technology, marking the next step in the automaker’s electrification journey. Skoda Auto India will most likely bring the Elroq to India by the end of 2025 or early 2026.

The Elroq will be the first Skoda vehicle to incorporate the company’s new "Modern Solid" design language, offering a refreshed aesthetic for its future electric offerings. The latest teaser highlights several distinct design features. Most notably, the front end features segmented daytime running lights (DRLs) integrated into a lightbar that spans the width of the vehicle. Below the DRLs, the Elroq will sport boomerang-style headlamps, accented by body-coloured trim. In line with EV design trends, the front grille will be closed off, and finished in a blacked-out style, offering both aesthetic appeal and aerodynamic efficiency.
The SUV's rear design also mirrors Skoda's evolving style, featuring crab-arm LED taillights that align with other models in its lineup. Alloy wheels, teased in the video, complement the sleek, futuristic design, positioning the Elroq as a visually compelling addition to the EV market.

The Elroq 60 will up the ante with a more powerful 201 bhp motor and a larger 63kWh battery. For those prioritizing power and range, the top models, the Elroq 85 and 85x, will come with an 82 kWh battery. The Elroq 85 will feature a single motor delivering 282 bhp, while the 85x adds a second motor to the front axle, providing a total output of 295 bhp for enhanced all-wheel-drive capability.
