The April figure marks a rise from March 2026, when Nissan India sold 4,818 units in total, compared with 3,058 units in February 2026 and 3,249 units in January 2026.
Nissan Motor India reported total sales of 5,388 units in April 2026, up 75% year on year, with domestic sales at 3,203 units and exports at 2,185 units. The company said the result came from customer response to the new Nissan Gravite and the Nissan Magnite.
The April figure marks a rise from March 2026, when Nissan India sold 4,818 units in total, compared with 3,058 units in February 2026 and 3,249 units in January 2026. Domestic sales were 3,203 units in April, against 2,298 units in March, 1,844 units in February and 2,052 units in January. Exports stood at 2,185 units in April, compared with 2,520 units in March, 1,214 units in February and 1,197 units in January.
The April numbers show that Nissan India ended the first month of the new financial year with its highest total sales in the past three months. The company said the Gravite has helped drive this performance by adding demand from customers who want a seven-seat model with modular seating and daily use in mind.
The March and February figures show that Nissan India has been moving up and down in total sales, but April brought a clear lift in domestic volumes. That gain matters because the Indian market is a key base for Nissan’s growth plan, and the Gravite has added a new product line to support that push.
Nissan Motor India Managing Director Saurabh Vatsa said the company was encouraged by the start of the financial year and the response to the Gravite, while also pointing to the role of the Magnite. He said Nissan plans to add more products and expand its network in this financial year.
