In 2024, Nissan gave the Magnite a much needed refresh which brought about subtle yet significant changes to the subcompact SUV. It now looks more butch than before with a revised grille and headlamp design, new alloy wheels, new taillamp elements and new bumpers.
Inside, the biggest additions are the use of more faux leather and a new orange cabin theme. It comes with features like an 8-inch infotainment system, six airbags, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic AC, wireless charger, JBL audio system and more.
Mechanically, the Magnite remains unchanged. It still comes with a 1.0-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with both mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. While the petrol engine is paired with a 5-speed AMT, the turbo-petrol comes with a CVT automatic.
In terms of rivals, the Magnite competes against the likes of the Renault Kiger, Tata Punch, Hyundai Exter, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor and more.
