London-based Nothing on Monday announced its upcoming Nothing Phone (3a) Series is being manufactured locally in India. Carl Pei-owned Nothing has contributed to job creation in the country, with over 500 employees in their factory in Chennai, where the Phone (3a) Series is being manufactured, with 95 per cent of the employees being women.

Earlier last week, London-headquartered Nothing confirmed a launch event scheduled for March 4, during which the company is likely to introduce new smartphone models. The handset maker confirmed to Acko Byte that the Nothing Phone (3a) Series will be launched on 4 March at 3:30 PM IST.
According to Counterpoint Research’s Monthly India Smartphone tracker, Nothing recorded a 577 per cent year-over-year (YoY) growth in India’s smartphone market in 2024, driven by strong demand for the Phone (2a) Series and its sub-brand CMF by Nothing.
Nothing recently surpassed $1 billion in lifetime revenue, four years after its launch in October 2020.
Also, as per tipster Yogesh Brar, e-commerce site Flipkart has confirmed the launch of Nothing Phone (3a).
"Flipkart just confirmed the launch of the Nothing Phone 3a series on March 4th. Triple cameras are visible with an updated Glyph," Brar posted on X, formerly Twitter.
The Nothing Phone (3a) will be available in two configurations, offering either 8GB RAM with 128GB storage capacity or a premium 12GB RAM option featuring 256GB storage. The Nothing Phone 3a Pro will be offered exclusively in a single configuration, combining 12GB of RAM with 256GB of storage. Both devices will be available in black, with the standard 3a offering a white option and the Pro model featuring an exclusive grey finish.
According to leaks and rumours, the device is expected to incorporate a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor paired with a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display featuring 120Hz refresh capability. The device will run Nothing OS 2.1, built on Android 15, and include a 5,000mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging. The brand's distinctive Glyph lighting system will also be present.
The device is reported to feature an advanced imaging system comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor, complemented by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom capability -- a first for Nothing. For self-portraits, the phone will include a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.
Recently surfaced images show the Nothing Phone (3a) featuring a horizontal triple-camera arrangement with an upper-positioned flash.
