To celebrate this achievement, the Bengaluru-based EV company has rolled out a special edition Ola Roadster X+.
Bengaluru-based Ola Electric has become the first EV manufacturer in the country to surpass the coveted 1 million production milestone. The 1 millionth electric vehicle rolled out from its Krishnagiri facility in Tamil Nadu. To celebrate this achievement, the brand has introduced a special edition Roadster X+ finished in midnight blue with red accents on the seats, rims and battery pack, and badges made from recycled copper waste.
It took Ola Electric four years to achieve this milestone since it started business in 2021. The majority of the 1 million units are S1 electric scooters, with the latest Roadster X electric bike filling up the remainder.
“This marks the celebration of every Indian who trusted us and believed in our mission. In four years, we’ve gone from an idea to becoming India’s EV two-wheeler leader. We built at scale and proved that world-class products can be designed, engineered, and manufactured right here in India. This milestone is a testament to how far we’ve come, and we’re just getting started!” exclaimed an Ola spokesperson.
Moving forward, Ola Electric will have a slew of new electric scooters scheduled for delivery. Besides introducing its proprietary 4680 battery technology to its existing electric two-wheelers, the brand also has a new sporty scooter, the S1 Pro Sport, slated for delivery from January 2026 onwards.
