Ola Electric has scaled up deliveries of the S1 Pro+ electric scooter, the first product powered by the brand’s in-house developed 4680 Bharat Cell batteries. The electric two-wheeler giant announced that it has ramped up deliveries of the Ola S1 Pro+ across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, and Karnataka. The electric scooter was handed over to customers in Coimbatore, Kochi, and Hyderabad, along with Bengaluru. The Ola S1 Pro+ is powered by a 5.2 kWh battery pack, which promises more range, higher performance and enhanced safety, according to the company.
The S1 Pro+ 5.2 kWh version uses the indigenously manufactured 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack, with a claimed range of 320 km (IDC with DIY mode) on a single charge. Power comes from a 13 kW (17.4 bhp) electric motor, which propels the e-scooter from 0-40 kmph in a quick 2.1 seconds. The S1 Pro+ gets four riding modes - Hyper, Sports, Normal and Eco. Furthermore, the model packs dual-channel ABS, disc brakes at the front and rear, and a new die-cast aluminium grab rail.

Ola Electric has also made changes to the S1 Pro+’s ergonomics for improved comfort. Visually, the model differentiates itself with a two-tone seat that gets more supportive foam, body-coloured mirrors, rim decals, and wider colour options comprising Passion Red, Porcelain White, Industrial Silver, Jet Black, Stellar Blue, Midnight Blue. The S1 Pro+ 5.2 kWh retails at Rs 1.90 lakh, and is available alongside the 4 kWh version priced at Rs 1.70 lakh. The Ola S1 Pro is priced at Rs 1.45 lakh (4 kWh) and Rs 1.25 lakh (3 kWh) respectively. All prices are ex-showroom.
Speaking about the scale up, a spokesperson from Ola Electric said, “The demand for the S1 Pro+ has proven what we set out to build, world-class EV technology made in India, and built at scale. Customers are now taking deliveries of the scooters powered by our own 4680 Bharat Cell, and the rollout is picking up strong momentum. With deliveries scaling across multiple States, we are now gearing up to take the 4680 Bharat Cell powered vehicles nationwide, reaching every corner of the country.”

Ola Electric is the first mainstream manufacturer in India to produce its own battery cells, a major step in create a self-sustaining EV ecosystem. That said, the manufacturer has been on a steady decline in terms of sales, and was relegated to fourth place as of 2025, behind Bajaj, TVS and Ather Energy. Data from the Vahan portal reveals the brand’s annual sales totalled 196,767 units in CY2025, a decline in market share from 36.7 per cent in 2024 to just 16.1 per cent in 2025. The decline in volumes coincides with escalated customer grievances, delivery reliability, and faulty tech, which has put Ola Electric on the backfoot.
