Over 20,000 vehicles were handled on peak days, at up to 300 cars per minute.
Park+, a smart parking and access management solutions provider, which managed parking at the 2025 Maha Kumbh, says it handled over 5,00,000 cars over the course of the mega event, with India’s largest ever open car parking space. It used its own AI-powered system to handle this huge number of cars, claiming 91 percent lower wait times.
Spread over 30 sites across 600 hectares of land, the parking setup included amenities such as EV charging, clean washrooms, food and beverage outlets, and medical support. Over 20,000 vehicles were handled on peak days, at up to 300 cars per minute.
The startup says that AI was leveraged to predict parking patterns and optimise how slots were filled. EV charging requirements were also plotted and addressed using AI.
Local authorities have reported that nearly 64 crore visitors attended this year’s gathering, which was held from January 13 to February 26 at Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh. According to Park+, most of the vehicular traffic at the event came from Delhi NCR, Mahrashtra, and Madhya Pradesh. The company also set up FasTAG payments infrastructure for quick cashless transactions, and says 54 percent of payments recorded used this method.
Park+ app users were also able to buy fuel thanks to a tieup with IndianOil, promising lower costs. Park+ says it provided 24/7 security using 10,000 cameras and security personnel on site, as well as vehicle maintenance services.
