Triumph’s 400 cc bikes have been pretty well received in both domestic and international markets, raking in decent sales numbers. The British brand made the whole range accessible in India with the Triumph Speed T4 last year, and this week we got the more off-road centric Scrambler 400 XC. However, Triumph isn’t done yet. There are two more bikes being prepped up for launch, in all probability this year. And here’s what you should know about these upcoming Triumph motorcycles

Triumph Thruxton 400/ Speed 400 RR

Just like the bigger Triumph Thruxton R and Speed 1200 RR, Triumph will be introducing that beautiful, voluptuous half retro-fairing design on the Speed 400 in a cafe racer format. While we are still not sure about the name of the bike our bet is on the Triumph Thruxton 400. ,The upcoming cafe racer has been spotted being tested in India and Europe several times now makes us really hopeful that the cafe racer will launch soon. 

Mechanically, it will be the same as the Speed 400, so no surprises there. However, the ergonomics will be different wherein it sports clip-on handlebar with rearset footpegs that will result for a more committed and sporty riding stance. Triumph Street Scrambler 400

The Triumph Street Scrambler 400 is another interesting bike currently undergoing development. The test mule was recently spotted in Europe being tested in real world conditions, boasting a rugged style, but not as off-road focused as the Scrambler 400 X. The rear of the bike was more distinct and looked different compared to the Speed 400. Even the centre panel design looked different. 

The Street Scrambler 400 will help address one of the biggest negatives of the Speed 400 which was its compact and petite appearance. This goes without saying, mechanically, the 398.15 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine will remain the same to produce 39.5 bhp and 37.5 Nm. And despite its rugged appeal, underneath it will be the same as the Speed 400.
