PlayStation VR2 Pricing Leaked Ahead of India Launch

It has been almost a year since Sony launched its next-generation virtual reality headset, PlayStation VR2, globally. Gamers in India have been eagerly awaiting an official launch date for the PSVR2 in the country. That long wait may soon be over as we hear that the PS VR2 is launching soon in India.

Reliable industry insider Rishi Alwani recently tweeted that PSVR2 could launch in India before the Collector's Edition of the much-anticipated Spider-Man 2 game. Alwani, who has a solid track record on all things gaming, said he wouldn't be surprised if an official announcement came from Sony India this month.

This has sparked excitement among VR fans in the country. However, they also expressed worries about delays, citing issues with previous game launches.

Another tipster, Devang Chhabria, shared what appears to be an internal Sony marketing slide with launch details. It reveals the price of the base PSVR2 model at ₹57,999. A bundle including the exclusive VR game Horizon Call of the Mountain is listed at ₹62,000.

Alwani validated these figures in a follow-up tweet, adding that pre-orders could go live as early as this week. Amazon India currently has placeholder listings, though the price is slightly lower without any guarantees. We'll be hearing more about the PS VR2 India launch in the coming days.
