At the heart of the Cayenne Electric's interior transformation lies the revolutionary Flow Display – the largest curved OLED screen ever installed in a Porsche vehicle.
Porsche has unveiled the interior of its highly anticipated Cayenne Electric SUV, showcasing the most advanced digital operating concept ever featured in a Porsche vehicle. The all-electric luxury SUV, set for global debut in late 2025 with an Indian launch expected in the second half of 2026, introduces groundbreaking technology that redefines the premium SUV experience.
At the heart of the Cayenne Electric's interior transformation lies the revolutionary Flow Display – the largest curved OLED screen ever installed in a Porsche vehicle. This seamlessly integrated display flows elegantly into the centre console, creating an unprecedented digital surface that forms the core of Porsche's new Digital Interaction concept. The system combines a 14.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster with OLED technology, providing crystal-clear information about power management, navigation, and driver assistance systems.
The comprehensive digital ecosystem extends further with an optional 14.9-inch passenger display offering entertainment and app control capabilities, plus the first-ever head-up display with augmented reality in a Cayenne. This AR system projects navigation arrows and lane guidance directly into the driver's field of vision with an effective 87-inch display size.
The Cayenne Electric introduces significant comfort upgrades that elevate the luxury SUV experience. Electrically adjustable rear seats come as standard, offering flexible positioning from comfort mode to cargo configuration. The innovative Mood Modes orchestrate lighting, climate, sound, and seat functions to create distinctive atmospheres tailored for relaxation, concentration, or enhanced driving performance.
A standout feature is the largest glass sunroof ever fitted in a Porsche – a sliding panoramic roof with Variable Light Control. This advanced system uses electrically controlled liquid crystal film to switch between clear and matte settings, with additional semi-transparent modes providing 40% and 60% opacity respectively.
The new surface heating technology represents a significant advancement over traditional warm-air systems, warming not just seats but also armrests and door panel sections for greater efficiency and more even heat distribution throughout the cabin.
Porsche has dramatically expanded customisation possibilities for the Cayenne Electric, offering 13 interior colour combinations, four interior packages, and five accent packages. New material choices include Magnesium Grey, Lavender, and Sage Grey colours, whilst customers preferring leather-free interiors can select the Race-Tex interior with Pepita print textile that pays homage to iconic Porsche heritage designs.
Beyond standard options, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and the exclusive Sonderwunsch programme enable customers to create truly bespoke interiors, including one-off creations that reflect individual vision and taste.
The Cayenne Electric features an advanced AI-powered voice assistant that understands complex instructions and spontaneous follow-up questions without requiring repeated activation words. The Voice Pilot system controls climate, seat heating, ambient lighting, and Mood Modes through natural language commands, whilst also recognising addresses and traffic information to provide seamless navigation assistance.
The new Porsche Digital Key utilises Ultra Wideband technology, allowing smartphones and smartwatches to function as car keys with automatic locking and unlocking capabilities. This digital key can be securely stored in device wallet applications and shared with up to seven additional users.
The Cayenne Electric will compete directly with premium electric SUVs including the BMW XM and Mercedes-Benz G580 in the Indian market. Expected to be positioned above the Taycan in Porsche's electric vehicle lineup, the Cayenne Electric is anticipated to carry a starting price well above ₹2 crore ex-showroom.
Built on Porsche's advanced 800V PPE electric architecture, the Cayenne Electric is expected to deliver exceptional performance figures, with top-specification models potentially producing over 1,000 horsepower and offering a targeted range approaching 600 kilometres. The vehicle will maintain Porsche's renowned dynamic capabilities whilst introducing Active Ride Control suspension technology for superior ride quality and body control.
The global debut is scheduled for late 2025, with international market launches beginning in 2026. Indian customers can expect the Cayenne Electric to arrive in the second half of 2026, marking a significant milestone in Porsche's electrification strategy for the luxury SUV segment.
