Porsche has agreed to sell its stakes in Bugatti Rimac and Rimac Group to a consortium led by HOF Capital, a New York-based investment firm. The transaction agreements were signed on April 24, and completion is subject to regulatory clearances and other conditions.
Porsche and Rimac Group set up Bugatti Rimac in 2021 as a joint venture for the Bugatti brand. Under the current structure, Rimac Group holds 55 per cent and Porsche holds 45 per cent in Bugatti Rimac, while Porsche also holds a 20.6 per cent stake in Rimac Group.
After the sale, Porsche will exit both holdings. Rimac Group will take control of Bugatti Rimac, while HOF Capital will join Rimac Group as the largest shareholder alongside Mate Rimac, founder of Rimac and chief executive of Bugatti Rimac.
BlueFive Capital is the largest investor in the HOF Capital-led consortium, which also includes a group of institutional investors from the US and the EU. Porsche said the deal will allow it to focus on its core business.

The deal is part of the ownership changes at Bugatti Rimac and Rimac Group, two companies linked through the joint venture structure set up in 2021. The parties said the financial terms will remain confidential, and completion is expected before the end of 2026, subject to approvals.
