Redmi 12 colour variants revealed ahead of August 1 launch in India

The Redmi 12 is confirmed to launch on August 1 in India and ahead of its launch, Xiaomi has revealed the colour variants of the phone. The Redmi 12 is slated to launch in three colours, each with a unique cosmetic feature. The design is being marketed by the company as a major highlight with Redmi calling it the “Crystal Glass Design”.

The Redmi 12 will be offered in three colours: Moonstone Silver, which reflects a rainbow pattern when light falls on it, Pastel Blue and Jade Black. The Redmi 12 released in Thailand in June and if there aren’t many India-centric changes being done to the phone, here’s a brief look at the key specs of the upcoming budget phone.

• The Redmi 12 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ resolution display with 90Hz refresh rate.

• It could be powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 processor running MIUI 14 based on Android 13.

• It has a triple camera setup on the back with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera.

• The Redmi 12 has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

• It measures 8.2mm in thickness and weighs 198 grams.

• It is also IP53 rated for protection against splashes of water.
