Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi is all set to launch its latest entry-level smartphone, the Redmi A3, in India on February 14. The company has gone live with a dedicated microsite revealing some of the key specifications of the upcoming device.
As per the landing page, the Redmi A3 will feature a 6.71-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It will be a first for the Redmi A series, providing a smoother experience compared to the 60Hz screens on previous models. It also packs a massive 5,000mAh battery for all-day power needs.
In terms of performance, the Redmi A3 is expected to draw power from a MediaTek chipset. It will offer up to 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The leak suggests there may be more than one storage variant on offer when it launches in India.
The Redmi A3 is confirmed to feature a dual rear camera setup housed in a circular module. There is a 13MP primary sensor and a secondary lens, while an 8MP front camera will handle selfies and video calls.
Exclusive details from the 91Mobiles leak reveal that the Redmi A3's pricing in India could start from Rs. 7,000 for the base 4GB/128GB model. The most expensive variant may retail at Rs 9,000, making it a worthy successor to the Redmi A2, currently available for Rs 5,499.
Live images posted by GSMArena reveal a 6.71-inch display and a 4GB RAM variant. We'll know more about the Redmi A3 in the lead-up to its official launch on February 14.
