The company has achieved this milestone in 11 years
Renault India has announced that it has achieved a production milestone of 10,00,000 vehicles in India. The milestone car - the Renault Triber - was rolled out of the company's manufacturing facility in Chennai. With a production capacity of 480,000 units per annum, the facility is the one of the major global manufacturing hubs for the company. The Duster was the first car to be locally manufactured by Renault in India and now 11 years later, the company has managed to bring out the Kwid, Kiger and Triber to the country to push sales.

Renault has also committed major investment of Rs. 5,300 crore to support development of six products under the alliance. Currently the company exports the Kwid, Kiger and Triber to 14 countries across the globe and with new products slotted for the Indian markets, the focus on new markets too will increase.

Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO & Managing Director, Renault India Operations said, “Achieving the production of 10,00,000 vehicles in India is a significant milestone for Renault. It demonstrates our unwavering commitment to the Indian market and showcases the trust our customers have placed in us."
