The Kwid continues to serve as the brand's entry-level offering, combining compact dimensions with SUV-inspired styling while focusing on affordability and practicality.
Renault India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Renault Group, on Wednesday reported domestic wholesale dispatches of 4,063 units in June 2026, registering a 55 per cent year-on-year increase over the corresponding month last year.
The automaker recorded domestic wholesales of 25,844 units during the first half of 2026, up 61% from the same period a year earlier. The performance also marked the company's tenth consecutive month of double-digit sales growth.
The Kwid continues to serve as the brand's entry-level offering, combining compact dimensions with SUV-inspired styling while focusing on affordability and practicality. The Kiger competes in the sub-four-metre SUV segment and is offered with naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engine options, targeting both urban and highway customers.
During June, Renault India also started exports of the all-new Renault Duster, dispatching the first shipment of 750 units to South Africa.
Renault India's portfolio comprises the Kwid hatchback, Kiger compact SUV, Triber MPV and the recently launched new-generation Duster SUV, catering to a broad range of passenger vehicle buyers.
The Triber remains Renault's multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), featuring flexible seating configurations for up to seven occupants within a compact footprint. Its modular cabin layout continues to appeal to larger families seeking practicality.
The return of the Duster marks a significant addition to Renault India's portfolio. Built on a new platform, the SUV features updated styling, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), connected technology and multiple turbo-petrol powertrain options. Renault has also announced an E-Tech strong-hybrid variant, further broadening the Duster's appeal in the midsize SUV segment. The company expects the model to play a key role in its future growth strategy in India.
Renault India manufactures its vehicles at its Oragadam facility near Chennai, which has an installed annual production capacity of 480,000 units. The company also operates a nationwide network of more than 350 sales outlets and over 450 service touchpoints, including more than 250 Workshop on Wheels locations, as it continues to expand customer accessibility and after-sales support.
