The Bigster will be sold as a Dacia in Europe and will come as a Renault in India.
Renault is gearing up to unveil its latest seven-seater SUV which will be sold as the Dacia Bigster, at the 2024 Paris Motor Show from October 14-20. Ahead of that, the automaker has released the first official teaser of this Duster-based SUV, ahead of its global launch planned for 2025, which you can check below.
The new Bigster shares several design elements with its sibling, the Duster, while introducing its own distinctive features. Though it retains the familiar headlamps, front grille, and fenders, the Bigster sets itself apart with an extended wheelbase and longer rear overhang to accommodate third-row seating. The vehicle also sports a redesigned trunk and eye-catching Y-shaped LED tail lamps, drawing inspiration from the original Bigster concept.
Drivers will find a familiar yet upgraded environment featuring a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a seven-inch digital instrument cluster. Dacia has added premium amenities to differentiate the Bigster from the standard Duster, targeting buyers seeking a more upscale family vehicle.
Built on the versatile CMF-B platform, the Bigster is expected to offer enhanced performance to handle its increased dimensions and weight. Higher-end variants will likely feature an all-wheel-drive system. The vehicle is anticipated to share powertrain options with the current Duster range, including a 1.0L TCe 100 engine, a 1.2L turbocharged petrol, and a 1.6L hybrid powertrain.
