The Flying Flea C6 was also seen alongside the e-ADV testbed.

Royal Enfield continues to fine-tune the Him-E testbed. The electric adventure-tourer was recently spotted in Ladakh, and it looks like the same evolved V2 version that was showcased last year at EICMA. So, we already knew the direction in which Royal Enfield was going, and the latest sighting confirms some of those aspects that the brand is putting to the test.

For starters, last year we learned that the Him-E will be powered by a bigger 13.3 kWh battery. That should be good for a real-world range of 150-200 km, and the same should continue here as well. The Flying Flea C6-styled fin-cooling design for the battery pack has also been retained, which makes us think that the electric Himalayan will retain this setup when it hits production. So, ensuring that this battery pack works in higher altitudes too, without any power drop, is one such aspect that RE is testing out.

The suspension components have remained the same. Royal Enfield was never really testing out semi-active suspension, but electronically adjustable capabilities, and that continues here as well. Either way, the overall weight of the bike will continue to be heavier than the Himalayan 450. Royal Enfield had confirmed earlier that the Him-E weighs 202 kg, which is 6-7 kilos heavier than the ICE ADV tourer.

Royal Enfield is still a few years away from bringing the Him-E into production. The first electric project for the retro bike maker remains the Flying Flea C6, which is slated for a launch by the end of FY26.

According to our sources, the Flying Flea was also seen alongside the two test mules of the Him-E, suggesting that the final finetuning of the e-motorcycle is taking place. This might not be the Royal Enfield that will take you along for a pilgrimage to the Himalayas, but it sure is a bike that will be intended to be used once you reach there.
