It is a smartphone app that offers riders insights into daily riding patterns
Royal Enfield has introduced the Wingman, a connected vehicle feature. This is initially launching with the Super Meteor 650 and will be extended to other bikes in the near future. It is expected to become a standard fitment in all upcoming premium Royal Enfield models. The Wingman, available for both iOS and Android devices, is supported by telematics hardware and can be operated through the Royal Enfield (RE) app, currently catering to Indian customers only.
Starting November 16th, customers booking the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will receive the Wingman feature as standard, accompanied by a Rs 6500 price increase for the device. Existing owners can opt for this feature by purchasing the device with additional fitment cost.
Wingman, accessed via the RE app, delivers real-time updates on the motorcycle's health. The interactive dashboard keeps riders informed about fuel level, battery status, and service alerts, including engine on/off notifications, GPS for location tracking, last parked location, and a "walk-to-my-motorcycle" feature. The connected feature provides insights into daily rides, riding patterns, and trip details, such as ride routes, maximum speed, average speed, and notifications for sudden braking and acceleration.
The Wingman package includes a 5-year data plan and leverages Royal Enfield's proactive support, accessible through the RE app. Wingman users can benefit from proactive Royal Enfield GRID support, receiving real-time guidance and vehicle alerts. A dedicated customer support team is in place to reach out to customers in the event of a potential technical issue with their motorcycle. Additionally, riders can easily access GRID Support through the app, providing assistance during their ride anytime and anywhere in the country with just a click of a button.
