Registrations for Royal Enfield’s 21st edition of Himalayan Odyssey motorcycle adventure is now open. This iconic motorcycle ride will welcome 70 riders from around the world to tackle the challenging terrains of Ladakh, Spiti, and Zanskar regions, including Umling La, recognised as the world's highest motorable mountain pass.
The 2025 Himalayan Odyssey will begin on June 28 and it will span over 2,600 km at elevations up to 19,026 ft. Participants will navigate diverse riding conditions including mountain twisties, tarmac roads, dirt tracks, and water crossings throughout the 18-day journey.
Riders will be divided into Team Spiti and Team Zanskar, with both groups experiencing some of the world's most breathtaking high-altitude motorcycle routes. The journey will include stops at notable locations such as Sarchu, famous for stargazing opportunities; Padum in Zanskar, known for its cultural significance; and Kaza in Spiti, near Komic, Asia's highest inhabited village.
Royal Enfield will provide comprehensive support throughout the expedition, including logistics assistance, mechanical support, and medical teams to ensure rider safety across varying terrains and altitudes.
The company continues its environmental conservation efforts with the #LeaveEveryPlaceBetter initiative, focusing on responsible travel practices. These include reducing waste, limiting single-use plastics, and supporting local environmental initiatives. Camp Kharu serves as an eco-friendly base demonstrating the company's commitment to sustainable adventure tourism.
