Samsung has introduced its new budget-friendly smartphone, the Galaxy A16 5G, with an extended software support commitment for its price segment. The device, initially launching in European markets, promises six generations of operating system (OS) updates and six years of security patches.
Samsung's latest offering almost matches the software support for its premium Galaxy S24 series, falling short by just one generation. This extended support period surpasses even the more expensive Galaxy A35 and A55 models, which receive four years of updates.
