Samsung is rumoured to unveil the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra at a special Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for January 17.
New alleged leaks have surfaced, giving us our first look at the Galaxy S24 Ultra in silver. Samsung is rumoured to unveil the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra at a special Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for January 17 in San Jose, California.
Tipster David Martin recently posted live images of the Galaxy S24 Ultra on social media platform X, revealing the flagship smartphone in a silver colour variant. The leaked images show a design nearly identical to the current Galaxy S23 Ultra, with a few notable changes. The S24 Ultra appears to have a flat display and flat rear panel compared to the curved screens and backs of previous Galaxy S devices.
On the back, we see that Samsung has retained the quad-camera setup housed within separate metallic rings on the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The arrangement and types of cameras are expected to remain the same, with a 200MP primary sensor, 12MP ultrawide, 10MP 3x telephoto, and 50MP 10x periscope zoom lens. Up front, the centered punch-hole selfie camera is located in the display as before.
Initial hands-on impressions suggest that Samsung will utilize a stronger titanium frame on the S24 Ultra than the armour aluminium material previously used. Under the hood, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset is rumoured to power the device, featuring slightly overclocked clock speeds. RAM and storage configurations are said to start at 8GB/128GB and go up to 12GB/256GB.
Samsung will reveal full details on the next generation of Galaxy S flagships at its January event. Pre-orders are expected to go live right after the unveiling, with general availability starting from January 30, 2024onwards.
