Shahid Kapoor Buys Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 Worth ₹2.96 Crore

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has added a Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4Matic+ to his car collection. The Maybach version of the GLS-Class is priced at ₹2.96 crore (ex-showroom, India). This is the second Maybach model in Kapoor’s garage as he bought a Maybach S 580 last year. 

Mercedes-Maybach launched the GLS in India in 2021 and since, it has been a popular choice for Bollywood celebrities. Many celebrities, like Ranveer Singh, Neetu Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Ayushhmann Khurana, own the luxury SUV. 

The Maybach GLS is a more luxurious version of the standard Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class. While it may look similar to the standard model, there are subtle differences between the two. The Maybach version has a slightly different grille, front bumper, alloy wheels, rear bumper and also gets Maybach badges on the D-pillar. The Maybach GLS is also available in two-tone paint schemes. 

While the standard GLS has six- or seven-seater configurations, the Maybach can be had with either a four- or five-seat configuration. Mercedes also claims that the sound insulation is much better compared to the regular GLS. The twin 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and touchscreen get Maybach-specific graphics. 

Under the hood, the Maybach GLS gets a 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine producing 550 bhp and 730 Nm of torque. It sends power to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic gearbox and Mercedes-Maybach claims it has a top speed of 250 kmph and can do the 0-100 kmph run in 4.9 seconds.
