Simple Energy will bank heavily on Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities which will help accelerate its EV growth further.
After being in business for almost two years now, Simple Energy is now all set to further expand its presence in India. The Bengaluru-based EV company is poised to open 150 new showrooms and 200 service centres across multiple cities by 2025. The new markets include Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, etc. The brand is also particularly interested in setting up shops in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities of 23 states, where the brand believes will help grow its EV sales rapidly.
Simple Energy has already commenced its expansion plans and has expanded into five states of South India with 10 stores. Coupled with the fact how the electric two-wheeler segment experienced significant growth in the country with retail sales increasing by a whopping 33 per cent to 1.14 million units in 2024 — Simple Energy believes that there is scope for improving its sales in the near future.

Simple Energy currently retails two scooters – the Simple One and Dot One. The former is priced at ₹1.67 lakh and the latter costs ₹1.46 lakh (both ex-showroom price, Bengaluru). The Simple One packs in a bigger 5 kWh battery, while the Dot One gets a smaller 3.5 kWh battery pack. This makes the former good for a certified range of 212 km on a single charge, while the latter can do 151 km of range on a single charge. Eitherway, both get a 8.5 kW electric motor with a claimed top speed of 105 kmph in both the electric scooters.
Speaking on the occasion of this expansion plans, Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO of Simple Energy, concluded, “Over the past year, the response to the Simple One has been exceptional, reaffirming its position as a technologically advanced and reliable product. This expansion is our way of ensuring that customers across the country have easy access to innovative solutions and a dependable service infrastructure, further enhancing their ownership experience.”
