Skoda Auto India has marked a quarter-century in the country by surpassing 500,000 cumulative vehicle sales, a key achievement that highlights the European marque's growing foothold in one of the world's most competitive automotive markets. The Czech manufacturer's Indian operation recorded 5,491 unit sales in November 2025, representing a remarkable 90 per cent increase compared to the corresponding month in 2024.
This performance marks an upward trend that has shaped the opening ten months of 2025, thus, establishing new sales records for the company.
Brand Director Ashish Gupta attributed the company's success to its expanding dealer network, customer-focused ownership programs, and diverse product lineup.
"Our expanding network, our value-driven ownership offerings, and wide product portfolio have been the chief driving forces that have powered our 5 lakh landmark sales and our constant year-on-year sales growth every month," Gupta said in a statement.
The auto manufacturer has cultivated a strong reputation in India's sedan segment, where the Octavia has served as a flagship model throughout the brand's 25-year journey.
The performance-oriented Octavia RS variant demonstrated exceptional market demand when it returned to Indian showrooms, with the entire allocation reserved within just 20 minutes of order books opening. The brand's sedan offering is rounded out by the Slavia, available with a choice of two powertrains.
Skoda's sport utility vehicle range in India now includes three models spanning ₹7.5 lakh to ₹45.9 lakh. The portfolio includes the Kylaq, Kushaq and Kodiaq.
The Kushaq achieved distinction as India's first vehicle to secure a five-star safety rating for both adult and child protection under Global NCAP's revised assessment criteria. The newest addition, the Kylaq, has likewise garnered a five-star rating from Bharat NCAP in safety evaluations.
The automaker has substantially bolstered its retail infrastructure, now maintaining more than 320 customer touchpoints distributed across 180 Indian cities. This network development represents a key element of Skoda's approach to sustaining growth during what it characterises as its strongest year in the market.
Skoda Auto India's current model range features four vehicles: the Kylaq, Slavia, Kushaq and Kodiaq. The parent organisation, Skoda Auto, dispatched over 926,000 vehicles worldwide in 2024 and functions within the Volkswagen Group's Brand Group CORE structure.
