Škoda has said it plans to bring the Elroq and/or the Enyaq to India this year.

Škoda has announced the addition of new native infotainment apps for its Enyaq and Elroq electric SUVs. Owners will be able to play games on their car’s central infotainment screen using the AirConsole app, listen to music and podcasts on Spotify, and also stream a curated video collection via the new Škoda Play app. The upgrades, which began rolling out in January this year, are available to all owners of Enyaq and Elroq SUVs manufactured starting in late 2024, running the company’s ME4 software platform.

AirConsole is a gaming app that has been seen previously on the Volkswagen ID.7, ID.5, ID.4, ID.3, Tayron, Tiguan, Passat, Golf Variant, and Golf in Europe as well as the 2026 Porsche Macan Electric and some BMW models. While Volkswagen owners got access to an exclusive version of the arcade staple Pac-Man, sister company Škoda offers another all-time classic, Tetris.

Around 15 casual and puzzle games will be available to play at the time of launch. Users can pair their smartphones to use as game controllers. Multiplayer games are supported, with each car occupant using their own phone as a controller. Games are only playable when the vehicle is stationary.

Owners of compatible cars will also have the Spotify app running natively on the infotainment system, allowing access to millions of songs as well as podcast episodes and video content. Users can sign in with their own Spotify accounts by scanning a QR code. Škoda promises an optimised UI, offline listening, and support for the car’s own cellular data connection. This reduces the need to pair a smartphone via CarPlay or Android Auto.

The new Škoda Play app also offers a library of streaming video titles, with content from major outlets including the BBC, CNN, Red Bull TV, and NASA. The company promises entertainment and educational content. Škoda-branded video content will also be available, and no user account is needed.

Škoda is widely expected to bring the Elroq and/or the Enyaq to India this year, but has not yet confirmed any timelines. As far back as 2024, it had said that both models were in the pipeline for launch here in 2026. A launch last year also seemed likely, but did not materialise.
