The Kylaq is Skoda’s fifth model in India and is also its smallest offering currently.
Skoda Auto India has revealed the complete price list for the Kylaq subcompact SUV. After announcing the starting price, ₹7.89 lakh*, at the global debut, we now have the prices of the remaining variants. Prices for the Kylaq range between ₹7.89 - 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Variants | MT Prices | AT Prices |
Classic | ₹7.89 lakh | NA |
Signature | ₹9.59 lakh | ₹10.59 lakh |
Signature+ | ₹11.40 lakh | ₹12.40 lakh |
Prestige | ₹13.35 lakh | ₹14.40 lakh |
The Kylaq is available in four trims – Classic, Signature, Signature+ and Prestige – and seven variants since the base-spec Classic is only available with the manual gearbox and all others get an automatic gearbox option too.
Skoda’s new subcompact SUV is powered by a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 114 bhp and 179 Nm. The engine is either mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Skoda claims the Kylaq has a top speed of 188 kmph and can do the 0-100 kmph run in 10.5 seconds.
The Kylaq is available in seven colours – Olive Gold, Tornado Red, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Lava Blue and Deep Black. All of these colours will be available as standard on the Prestige variants. While the Lava Blue and Deep Black will be available for ₹9,000 as an option on the Signature, the Lava Blue is the optional colour on the Signature+ trim. Furthermore, the Olive Gold is an optional colour on the Classic trim.
The latest subcompact SUV is loaded with features like a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a virtual instrument cluster, a wireless charger, connected car tech, ventilated seats, single-pane sunroof and more.
The Kylaq rivals the likes of the Mahindra XUV 3XO, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet. While the starting price undercuts all but the XUV 3XO, the prices at the top-end undercuts the XUV 3XO by more than ₹1.10 lakh, the Nexon by ₹40,000 and the Sonet by ₹52,000. The Venue is the only rival whose top-spec turbo-petrol AT variant is ₹87,000 cheaper than the comparable Kylaq variant.
