We expect the new Skoda Kodiaq to be in the range of ₹40-45 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Skoda Auto India has officially teased the second-generation Kodiaq SUV on its social media channels, signalling an imminent launch. The new Kodiaq, positioned as a flagship SUV offering from the Czech carmaker, brings a refined design evolution and significant updates across its mechanical and safety packages. With local assembly in place, Skoda is expected to price the model competitively, and we expect it to be in the range of ₹40-45 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

Visually, the new-generation Kodiaq retains the core design language of its predecessor but introduces several modern touches. At the front, the SUV features matrix projector headlamps paired with sleek LED DRLs. A full-width LED light strip integrates into the front grille and extends to the edges of the bumper, offering a distinct lighting signature.
The rear fascia sees a connected LED tail lamp setup with updated detailing and prominent 4x4 badging, underscoring the SUV’s off-road capability. While proportions remain largely unchanged, the design cues lend a sharper, more contemporary character.
Inside, the Kodiaq receives a thorough upgrade. Highlights include dual digital displays—a digital instrument cluster and a floating touchscreen infotainment system. Other additions include leatherette upholstery, a revised HVAC panel, a panoramic sunroof, and three-zone automatic climate control. Ambient lighting, a two-spoke steering wheel, and a three-row seating layout position the SUV as a practical yet premium family offering.
For India, Skoda has opted to offer the Kodiaq with a single engine configuration: a 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine producing 187 bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. The powertrain will be mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission along with Skoda’s all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.
The second-gen Kodiaq will come equipped with a comprehensive safety suite. Skoda has confirmed eight airbags as standard across all variants, along with an anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD). This is in line with growing consumer expectations and evolving safety norms in the Indian automotive market.
